It was about that time my Rod Stewart collection and interest ceased but I did have a soft spot for killing of Georgie
The Killing of Georgie is a fantastic track. Since then, not much of any quality to speak of...and there's also the night that I spent on a train from Milan to Nice with a bloke with a huge ghetto blaster...and an endless supply of **** Rod Stewart tapes. It was a long, long night.
Kitty Lux who was a co-founder of the UOGB was in the punk band Sheeny and the Goys , she passed in 1917 Edit Oh yes forgot to add she was also a time lord
the Rev Al Green v Talking Heads I'm a big fan of Talking Heads and the Bass lines of Tina Weymouth but the Rev takes it for me
It speaks volumes that so many think that Soft Cell recorded the original ...and, no, that is not my cue to post the Marilyn Manson version
Soft Cell 3 v 2 Gloria Jones It's close but the later version fills dance floors all over the world, even for those who weren't born when it was recorded. For that, it has to win.
Disappointed with that , I would have put money on you replying with the Marilyn Manson although I do like it
Going back to my roots Odyssey v Richie Havens , Richie has it for me , I was lucky enough to blag a couple of tickets when he played Ronnie Scotts on a late show, when it finished he came to the front of the stage and sat down chatting with the audience for 45 mins he was such a humble and charming man answering all the questions about his set at Woodstock etc
