A Toby carvery, now you're talking. I don't recall seeing a Harvester there though. I do remember they had an odd Wetherspoons. I met Top Cat there, which was the only good thing. I also woke up in a Cafe toilet at 5am with no one in sight.
For those that don't know who Top Cat is... True don in the early UK reggae/Jungle scene... But more importantly a good friend. RIP Tenor Fly.
Me thought we win the uk title of the champion dj, n everybody dem said your respec-ah. Now true we bust up de chart n mash dung the place and a fearful tune weh we make-uh! **** you mentioning that name has stirred some memories!
and this classic; Top Cat, the most effectual Top Cat, whose intellectual Close friends get to call him T.C. Providing it's with dignity
Top Cat did a crazy One Xtra last year with the Ragga Twins, legends in the game. My favourite album without question as a kid was 'Ragga Twins - Reggae Owes Me Money' Still listen to it today!
Saw the Ragga Twins with Mickey Finn about 4/5 years ago at a small ****ty venue in Southampton. Was a **** rave in general (in terms of atmosphere etc.) but that set ****ing killed it. Actually Ray Keith did an old school set that night that smashed it too
Yeah they're still around doing their ting. Supa Dan died, which really affected Flinty and Demon, but they came back. I used to listen to Ray Keith way back, he was teamed up with MC GQ, and Navigator for years on Kool FM. Now 'KoolLondon' which is just a money spinner, they all forgot they started in their mums bedroom.
Whenever I hear someone mention Kool FM, all I can hear in my mind is Det going 'Brooooocckkiiieeee!!'
... but no picture ... some on here are too young to remember ....therefore OK I hadn't read on ... my bad Actually was my favourite cartoon as a kid - I heard somewhere that they used voices from the Bilko cast - not sure if that's true, but the cartoon was very funny ...
