I’ve long been a detractor of Baz but he’s playing very well atm. Fair play to him, I say.

 

And we did not get there playing Russ ball and neither has he. I am going out on a limb and saying that we will never get to an FA cup final with this style of football, Feel free to re-post when we do.

 

Went to every game and celebrated my 18th birthday party after the game at Sholing Social Club. Oh what a night.

 

Just missed Villa away. After our last minute equaliser at home, didn’t really believe. Thereafter, every round was magic. I consider myself a very fortunate Saint. Heady days, which just got better in the early 80’s.

 

Went by coach and the entire bus load was so keen to get back to Southampton we told the driver not to stop at the halfway point, which he didn’t.

 

Bradford was the one and only time I have ever been there.
