Yesterday for the first 20-25 mins I thought we were anything other than boring. We attacked with finesse, intensity and style. We were pleasing on the eye. The next 20 min and the first 15-20 of the second half we slowed it down and it wasn't so intensive. we then played excellent again for 10-15 mins when the wingers came on and we scored. We then reverted to the slow possession based stuff. IMO, overall when we are on it (perhaps 20-30 mins out of the 90) we look good and are pleasing to the eye. We just need to do that for 70-80 mins to kill off teams that are there for the taking.
Lol remember @......loading...... for all your moaning about Russell Martin, he has given you the Saints Not606 title of the longest thread streak ever. In years to come this is what will be remembered and not the style of your threads
I would argue that the first 5-10 pages are pleasing to the eye, then the game starts and it goes off a bit, then we score and they get good again, then back to the boring ponderous arguments between posters
Manager? Would be interesting to find out. I can only think of Birmingham where the fans would want him.
I disagree they are just par for the course, I remember having a a run of 6 results, I only stepped in because we were losing so often, there was a shortage of volunteers, I don't claim responsibility for any of the results or the content, it was simply right time, right place for a brief purple patch.
Just to be clear, I meant my thread starters are pretty low effort and dull. I am probably causing all this.
Again I disagree, they do the job, my own efforts were pretty basic, but got the ball rolling, as for boredom, that is only a state of mind, down to each individual, if the subject is getting boring, just change the subject and move on until things improve..
This. One hundred times this. I was yelling 'FOUL HIM!' the second he gave the ball away. It was so obvious.
Didn’t see the game last night but read the thread. How has he not just scythed him down as soon as he loses the ball? Centre back also terrible in that passage of play, these things happen
