All this 'where were you' stuff really p155e5 me off - so I'll have a go. Where were you 'where were you' singers when we played Rochdale (or was it Rotherham) back in the late 70's when there were about 13,000 of us inside Filbo? So, based on that, I'm allowed to chant 'where were you' at all you under 40's, COS YOU WERENT THERE WHEN WE WAS AWFUL. Pointless chants for moronic 'supporters'. At least my generation had a bit more sense, cos when there were 42,000 packed into Filbo for the Man City cup game (late sixties? ) we just welcomed the extra support and got them to sing with us, not alienate them by making idiotic remarks. I dunno, you kids sometimes....... :smiley-finger007:

Agreed, very presumptious of those in L1 that sang that to think they are more regular than the everyone else. I've been going every season since 81 (with a short absence when my eldest was born in the norties) and there are many fans that can top that twice again.

I was a vitual ever present home and away at the end of the eighties 87-93 and into the 90's and believe me we were F*C*ING crap then!!

Plymouth away on a Tuesday night lost 3-1 and it pissed down, where were they then!

Ha! Them were t'days my Lord. Some of these young 'uns never had the pleasure, they reckon we were crap under Holloway - they should have endured the McLintock months!!
 
Do you remember the eighties when we were getting 9-13,000 a game and it only cost around £2.50 to see a game....happy days. I would stand in the MSE and meet me mates at the second E of the Enemix advertising hoarding which was opposite us above the East stand.
 
Got to argue, Pleat was a C**K even his players told me that at player of the year do I went to. Gary Mac, Tommy Wright Paul Reid all said this.

Tommy Wright got a fine for calling him a c*nt to his face in the dressing room!

the crowds I think were not much above 10k for home games and some away games you would be lucky to get 5k with the smaller clubs.
 
We used to stand next to the tunnel - my cousin was the full time mascot for several years in the sixties - but for really busy games we'd often sit on top of the toilets in the Filbert Street end - happy days! Tell that to the kids nowadays, they wont believe you (thanks to Monty Python for that bit)

I don't think it's out order, there were plenty of fans there just to see Real Madrid and have no interest in Leicester at all. In fact plenty o them would have been those Man U fans who take the piss out of you fo supporting a '**** team like Leicester'.

Anyway it's just tongue in cheek, and the neutrals couldn't care less what Leicester fans think of them I'm sure.

The the chants aren't directed at you - so what's your problem?
 
I really hope there are tickets are available!

The guy who normally books our tickets has been on holiday and I, being the dopey bastard I am, completely forgot!

Ah well, I should be able to get some if what Proud has said was right and we're taking 9k o,o

Should be absolutely epic :D
 
My understanding is we have sold 3000 and have requested another 3000. Reckon there will be around 5000 at the game.

Pleat was a nob end. I was a big "Pleat out Pleat out" chanter back in the days. The boys didnt play a blind bit of notice to anything he said and I heard Ally Mauchlin was often out on the piss the night before a game. We had some unprofessional ****ers at the club at that period.
 
I don't think it's right to claim to be bigger than other fans. If someone's paid to watch LCFC then they're a good enough fan for me. There are financial implications to consider as well - for instance my cousin would love to buy a season ticket but he just can't afford it. Me also, I'd love to be able to go to more away games than I do but I have a family to feed and a mortgage to pay as well.

We don't want to be alienating members of supporters because then they won't come back and we loose more potential fans. We are all fans and we all support the same team and hope for the same outcome on a Saturday afternoon so we should all be pulling in the same direction, not isolating members of our fans - especially new fans.
 
indeed, my point to Emilio was that they in L1 by singing "where were you when we were ****" was that it was alienating the other fans. How did they know which fans in the rest of the ground were regular supporters. Okay they maybe looked at those in teh away end and thought you are not regulars but then I didnt sit in my usual season ticket seat and plenty of others I know didnt either.
 
I'm sure one of the biggest reasons Top wanted this friendly was to attract new fans to LCFC but by our fans singing this, I wouldn't be surprised if most of those potential new fans weren't to come back.
