He did play well and he might get games by default. Against the better teams where have less of the ball he looks more effective, like a ferret chasing a golf ball. The first team does lack a bit of pace and energy so he complements what else we have

Possibly. I think most players need time to grow into a team and gain confidence. We still see this with Willock and he is playing very well.

If not, we would have sold Wallace, Barbet, Dykes a long time ago, plus Eze and BOS may not have broken into the first team.

I once groped a girl in a West Yorkshire market town.

    "Huddersfield?"

    "Yeah, and her lady garden".

    Last line is correct.

Interesting that Clive says Marshall never catches anything. I thought that too, although he did make a lot of good saves.
Sounds like Clive thought we played better than those on here did. I didn't see it, so no idea.
Willock has been superb in Chair's absence and I have a little theory about that which I'll keep to myself for now, as I could be way off the mark.
Hopefully, Willock and Field don't feel the pressure of expectation that their superb form may bring.

    Bring on Swansea.

I demand another picture is taken!!

I have to admit to being a tad disappointed/peed off! I spent nigh on 90+ minutes on saturday yelling my head off, cheering, waving, booing (Kane) and applauding with a smile on my face ......then I see this picture, spot myself in this fabulous Hoops moment...... only to find they've amazingly caught me looking like a depressed Cov City fan who's stood in the wrong stand by mistake!! (Can you spot me now??)

Other than that though........what a great day I/we had!!

I very rarely get a chance to watch the Hoops in the flesh, so Saturday was a real treat. It was so good to mingle and chat with other Hoops in the concourse before the match with a pint in hand, soaking up the pre-match atmosphere.

The match itself was quite entertaining, even though we only played well in phases, I really soaked it all in. Being a part of that 4000 was a great feeling.

As most have already stated, Marshall, Field and Willock were easily the pick of our players. Field was immense....if he plays like that week in, week out he'll be one of the first names on the team-sheet. The amount of ground he covered was really impressive.

    Ratings - Marshall 8, Wallace 6, Adomah 7, Barbet 6, Dickie 6, Dunne 7, Field 8, Dozzell 6, Willock 8, Gray 7, Dykes 3

(Oh, and must say that Thomas, who I've not been a fan of, played really well when he came on)

Only minus point for me was some neanderthal a couple of rows behind who just gave a constant tirade of abuse, mainly consisting of the c-word, all afternoon...and shamefully topped it off, whilst the steward was down receiving medical treatment with a loud, wholehearted cry of 'Just let him f***ing die!!'.

Embarrassing to have a cretinous low-life like that as a fellow R.

After getting out of the stadium, we walked around the ground 3 times, looking for the invisible taxi that my Liverpool-supporting brother had booked for 5.15 (!!), we bumped into Dykesy on the last circuit, standing outside texting on his phone. Told him it was a great result, to which he smiled and gave a thumbs up......I then walked away thinking it was probably better not to say he that he'd actually been invisible on the pitch.

Didn't get to meet anyone from on here, that'll have to wait for a future occasion, but what a fantastic day was had by most, and especially by me.

Must do it again, preferably a little sooner than later.
