He’s a phenomenal talent. To think, he couldn’t get a game at Hibs last season and look at him now! He has everything and he’s going to go very far in the game.

    This.
Was shocked and surprised at Coventrys tactics, lumping it with throw ins and free kicks which also slowed the game down in our favour (lampard the tactical genius eh) mind when they did use Sakamoto he was a threat and in my opinion will be their biggest threat on Tuesday, so aye realised now why he threw big Dan in,and what a performance

They didn’t play well imo very one dimensional which surprised me. I’d say the first half was comfortable which again is something I’d of never predicted.

Same mentality needed for Tuesday, will be a tougher game imo.

The premium for ‘proven’ strikers is ridiculous. For a club that is trying to maximise its financial reach I’d argue that it’s not worth getting involved in. Certainly I’m ecstatic on reflection that we didn’t drop £13m on Armstrong or Cannon. It just represents bad value when that sort of money would improve us so much more in other areas. Getting the likes of Mayenda for reasonable fees and developing them is critical to our progress. Even better if we can have home grown ones. With Isidor and Mayenda were well set for now but hopefully Abdullahi, Ogunsuyi and after them Geragusian and Neill will enable us to swerve that chaotic part of the transfer market for a little while.

Echo this, I have no idea how he does it but he receives the ball with his back to goal, manages to spin and then beat his man everytime.

So many times I think he’s getting tackled and he pops out of it with the ball.

He’s going to be a top striker

Spot on. It seemed like the striker position was one which our recruitment method didn't work well with, given the very mixed success in the transfer windows. Really, it's another strength of Speakman et al but is just a much longer term/ long game affair. The club has got to put a lot of effort in finding and developing the rough diamonds but the pay off can be worth waiting for - financially and for us fans in watching the likes of Mayenda emerge.

Just heard VAR and semi automated offside is in the play off finals.

seems daft when you’ve played a full season without it…

I actually think Mayenda is the best of all of the kids we have, better than Jobe or Rigg.
