Defending as a team was much better than leaving it to the back four, we’re pretty good at it in the big games. I’m a blind faith type and results are what matters but no doubt I’d prefer the football from earlier in the season. However with such a young squad I do think set ups like last night help them rather than just bombing forward constantly and getting picked off. May be we’ll get used to it in time and expect good results but I suspect a few better players introduced to the squad would open us back up to playing similar to Leeds/ Burnley with less shackles on.

Well, missed our first goal. Rushed in, paused telly, back out. Came in, my son who had celebrated madly on our goal, had a face like thunder. His mates had text saying 1-1. FFS.

Brought game back to live footage therefore missing the equaliser also.

Took the winner very calmly, no over celebrating (had high blood pressure last week <laugh>).

What a win. Its half time but surely Coventry will be more nervous than us on Tuesday. They have to score.

What a team. All I ask of them is that they give their all and don't give in. All 11 (14) did just that.

The atmosphere was deafening at times. Ridiculously loud from both sets of supporters just after they equalised. Amazing night

It would be good if all of those who dished it out, actually admitted to their errors of judgement and get behind the staff and players <applause>
I've noticed that a few have had the bollocks to do that already - Well done <cheers>

Lets not forget Jobes tackle (football for anyone getting the wrong idea there) late on in the game. Superb.

Fanbase absolutely cannot afford to be ‘consumers’ on Tuesday. No matter how often people voice that view on socials. This week it simply isn’t true.

    Me too
    I'm with Eliezer Mayenda :emoticon-0140-rofl:

The best bit of the evening was when we were 2-1 up and all of our lot did the daft Coventry song and the dancing

Fantastic work from Rigg in the lead up. Great desire.

Their main tactic last night was to launch the ball into our box via a long throw
    - it was like watching Luton Town FFS <doh>

Feels like Cov struggle against that deep block, but there’s a part of me that’s hearing echoes of two years ago. Mowbray sprung a surprise that got us in front but then stuck to it again and we paid the price. Slightly different as I’d say TMs gamble was more obviously daft in the second leg, but the worry is still there. Gonna take me a while to unwind decades of programming I guess:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Yeah. That's what it took last night. Our better valued players really standing out. Ballard reminding us he is a beast. Jobe back to beast mode and our towards at full pelt.

I know that you know, it's totally different. We had no choice and were down to the bare bones. We are almost full strength now.
