They haven't really though, bit of an exaggeration.

Won: 9
Drew: 1 (eventually won on penalties in the cup)
Lost: 3 (one of those against a PL side in the cup, the other 2 against Leeds and Burnley who’re comfortably the best sides in the division)

An exaggeration? Nope. That is superb. I’m sure most would agree…

 

Yes their home results have been good but Coventry are far from superb imo.

 

Cracking thread, cheers RTB. If we play to our capabilities, we will win. The one thing I look at is our performances in the ‘big’ games this season (against the top 3). We’ve always been able to step up a gear when required and I don’t think this will be any different. Going for 1-2, Mayenda and Hume.

 

They aren’t but their recent form at home certainly has been. It’s a worry when you look at how we performed down there only 7 weeks ago

They just lost to two teams that have gone down ... that's just as bad, if not worse.

There's also a big difference, they were desperate for points and couldn't handle the pressure ...

 

Was hoping for some value in the card markets but the bookies have tightened right up for this one

O’Nien, Hume and Cirkin all shorter than 2/1

 

This thread is already showing the polar opposites of what we expect on Friday.

Over the last couple of months we are massively out of form coming up against one of the most in form teams in the league.

I still think if we play to our strengths and RLB gets the tactics right we will beat these over two legs. Players don't just turn crap overnight and we have some of the best in the league.

…you’re right there mate but it’s also tough to play terribly for weeks and weeks before suddenly clicking back into gear

We’ve only scored 4 goals in our last 10 games

 

Should have said since Christmas, but yeah you have a point.

They are in better form than us anyway over the last 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 games .

We should still have enough to beat them IF we somehow suddenly start to perform.

 

That's my massive worry, and RLB will either be a tactical genius or not very soon....

 

One positive about us - we don’t concede many on the road. Keep it low on Friday and we’ll be well in the tie

 

Wish I hadn't just checked that stat...time for a small whiskey then bed!

 

Obviously praying that we get to Wembley, but I fear a narrow defeat on Friday (hope it’s not worse).

The writing will be on the wall if Le Fee occupies the LW again.
