And Collins for Harris. Can't see how that will improve anything.

Is it just me or is this just plain awful?

No pressure, no energy, lack of any real effort, no cohesion. Have they played or trained together before? Their keeper might as well be sat in a deck chair reading a book for all the work he has to do.

Then Collins misses with a nailed on equaliser.

We really do look awful tonight. No denying it.

    Coventry deserve all 3 points.

It is terrible and is highlighting our lack of depth.
Think we have to get used to it with no money to spend.
The youngsters are going to develop quickly and I guess we just have to be patient.

    Evans on for Vaulks.

For God's sake let's make their keeper earn his wages.

I love the idea of developing the youngsters quickly but I fear for what we are pushing them into.

Sadly, as much as it pains me to say it, I think we're trying to blood too many in one go.

It is great to see and something to be proud of but they need more experience and skill around them I'm afraid.

Playing away at Coventry midweek seems to be a regular fixture, same result in a disappointing performance! Like a wet night away to Stoke! :emoticon-0103-cool:

Outplayed by a team coached by a modern manager who know how to play with a back 5 properly, have busy little midfielders passing snappily and with purpose and a decent strike pair.

Whereas City have 3 leaden footed central defenders who can’t pass at all, a passive midfield with no pace or creative skill and tonight Moore wasn’t interested.

(Granted we miss Giles as our crossing tonight was amateurish but MM has the job to ensures there’s a replacement)

Vaulks is up there for one of the worst players I’ve ever seen; he’s consistently awful. He does absolutely nothing positive.

Collins is as poor a striker ever to play for us. That miss tonight was embarrassing.

Tonight evidenced how poor this squad is and how out of touch the club is with progressive football.

    Painful to watch.

We'll have better nights I'm sure but I bloody well hope we don't have any worse ones.

Come back Bacuna, Ralls and Vassell, I think we need you!

Desperately miss Giles. Our final ball was so poor time after time.

Take nothing away from Coventry. Stood up to us well. Broke quickly and look pretty slick at times....

One small plus point, at least Waghorn didn’t score against us!

Just what MM has done elsewhere. Dinosaur hoofball without the spirit and aggression that Colin brought.

MM out!!! And take Collins with him.

Love the pink kit - hate the quality of football.

Many of us were keen to see youngsters come in and we would be patient if it meant an introduction to a different style of play. Unfortunately, they are being brought in and tasked with playing the same way as we've been playing all along. The same can be said for many of our purchases who fail with us. In no way is this progress. And while I'm happy to accept that we have no money and that this needs to be a season of consolidation, , we don't seem to be doing anything to promote change.
MM has come in and done an admirable job for us but his seemingly singular approach isn't advancing anything. I doubt that it's his fault and I'm sure he's working to the brief given to him and that lakes us back to the old problem of what VT's managment team are capable of.
