Well stuff like this is a lot more common in Spain. Two clubs have just been relegated by the courts after failing to pay their players: Xerez have been dropped to the fourth division, and Guadalajara to the third. Deportivo escaped relegation to the third division after a third party agreed to pay the outstanding debts just 15 minutes before the court deadline (and somehow they've managed to re-sign Javier Arizmendi anyway). All three clubs and several more have very uncertain futures. We've had the conversation about Valencia's debts, of course. These are dark times for a lot of football supporters.
