Why are they allowed to exist "Coventry City can confirm that it is exploring alternative backup plans to host Tuesday night’s home game against Blackburn Rovers." https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/oct/28/coventry-city-wasps-cbs-arena https://www.ccfc.co.uk/news/2022/oc...o-host-tuesdays-game-versus-blackburn-rovers/
Having early games postponed and opponents not having a clue when and where they are playing them is certainly disrupting the balance. Can a club point blank refuse to play an away game at a neutral venue even though it may benefit them? Is it fair that club A has had to play them in Coventry whilst club B has the benefit of playing them at a neutral ground?
Don't worry the EFL will devise a plan to help Coventry out like they seem to have done in the past. Teflon comes to mind with this club, nothing horrible ever seems to stick to them.
The efl are a ****ing joke. What course of action did they decide on after the postponed matches at the start of the season? **** all I think just pretending it never happened? They will be devastated by this as it will bring it up and they might have to take action now! After the action they took against Derby last season to now take none against these for the disruption that has been caused stinks!
Honestly think they just don’t have the balls or brains to do anything! It’s not like they haven’t known this was going to happen! They could’ve said “everything order by x date” but no, they just sit firmly on their hands and do nothing
They released a statement saying they would wait until they got matches going again so they could judge the full impact before they took action. Then **** all from them after that! They need tk be punished why should other clubs and their fans be ****ed about having to squeeze games in,easing about their breaks between games?
If you're a Blackburn supporter booking travel & accommodation, for a Tuesday night against Coventry ... ... you've currently no idea what to book, if at all. It's absolutely disgraceful.
Annoyingly, this could massively benefit Coventry. Who else is likely to buy the lease to the stadium - they could well get it on a very cheap deal.
I said this when administration was looking likely. Coventry will be rubbing their hands together as they are likely to end up being the only ones after the stadium now. So will get a decent deal!
However much they pay it will have to be at least as much as the value of the land less the cost of demolition ... ... the owners have a responsibility to get the going rate imo.
Coventry is that person at work that seems to get all the easy jobs, never get in **** for phoning in sick and do very little when they're there. The club is a constant pain in the arse. Should be made to play all their games away form home (they do any other season) if they can't fulfil a home fixture. Twice away at every club a season.
Dion Dublin used to play for them, they need a home, he's on Homes under the hammer.... can he not sort them out? I think he would suggest the new owner remove the dividing wall and make the home and away dressing rooms open plan.
How a club like Coventry get chance after chance after chance while clubs like Bury go out of business?
