It's not funny because of that part, but because of the fact the chairman of Saints sacks Nigel Adkins, and brings in a foreigner who can't speak a word of english, who is supposed to train and man-manage the team Surely, when you're in a relegation battle, you'd want a manager who can actually talk to his players ?? Besides, the speaking part of learning english is relatively easy, it's the writing part that's tricky, what with the impossible spelling. Fabio Capello was picking up English at the required level and only used an interpreter for the first couple of interviews. Learning how to say "I think we played well, but we were unlucky today" e.t.c takes two weeks to learn. He's been here more thna that already, and is showing no signs of changing his ways yet. The most important part of the manager's job is man management- something he will not be able to do whilst talking Argentine .. Many managers can't control their players when talking English (Roberto Mancini e.t.c)- so the little Argy won't be able to d o man-management whatsoever!
