Hampshire have signed South Africa all-rounder Ryan McLaren for the final month of the Championship season. The 32-year old will replace departing fast bowler Jackson Bird and could make his debut in the match at Durham, which starts on 1 September.
Struggling Leicestershire have re-signed Wayne White from Derbyshire on a three-year contract. The all-rounder will also be available for Leicestershire for the remainder of the 2015 season, other than when the team plays Derbyshire in the LV= County Championship.

Leicestershire have been deducted 16 points in the LV= County Championship and fined £5,000 following a disciplinary panel hearing at Lord's called to rule on the persistent misbehaviour of their players. The punishment severely undermines their attempts to avoid the wooden spoon for the third successive season and leaves them 32 points behind the second-bottom club, Kent, with only four matches remaining.
Lancashire County Cricket Club (LCCC) says some of its players were involved in a disturbance in Kent on Saturday. The club issued a statement confirming it was aware of an "incident" now being investigated by Kent Police. A man in his 20s, understood to be batsman Liam Livingstone, sustained a head injury at The Auction House bar in New Street, Ashford. Earlier in the day, Lancashire had qualified for the T20 Blast Finals Day following a tied match against Kent.

England all-rounder David Willey has signed a three-year contract with Yorkshire as the club that has led the way in producing its own players has pulled off a spectacular signing to help address its disappointing limited-overs form.
Opener Paul Horton has not been offered a new deal by Lancashire and will leave at the end of the season. Sydney-born Horton, 32, made his debut in 2005 and has scored over 9,500 runs at an average of 38, including 21 centuries and 51 fifties.

Former England fast bowler Chris Tremlett has announced his retirement from all forms of cricket. The 33-year-old made a total of 12 Test appearances and played a vital role in the 2010-11 Ashes victory in Australia. "After 16 enjoyable years I feel that now is the right moment to call time on my playing career," the Surrey player wrote on Twitter. "Unfortunately injury has hampered me throughout my career and now plays the leading role in my decision to retire." Tremlett has been affected by back and knee injuries in recent years and has been restricted to three Championship appearances for Surrey this season.
Luke Ronchi is returning to Somerset as an overseas player for the last four matches of the County Championship. The 34-year-old New Zealand wicketkeeper played in five T20 games for the county earlier this summer. He will be available to play against leaders against Yorkshire at Headingley, starting on 1 September and the three games that follow.
Nottinghamshire captain Chris Read is preparing to become the first wicketkeeper in more than a decade to claim 1,000 first-class dismissals. The 37-year-old's five catches in Nottinghamshire's Championship win over Warwickshire took him to 998. When Read reaches the target, he will be the first player to do so since Jack Russell in 2002.
