Like United, our weakness is the midfield.

United foolishly felt that buying an expensive forward would solve their problems. Lets not go the same way. Mata can stay at the sinking ship.

I thought it was funny at the game today they were talking about Rooney being the natural successor to the Captain's armband when Vidic leaves.... ironic given he'll probably be following him out the door in the summer as well <laugh>

  3. I loved the fact that Fulham's equalisers was partly Vidic's fault (according to Five Live) #alreadygone

Erm, no idea where they are getting that from? Guess he could have headed it clear rather than trying to make the pass to Carrick but lot happened after that, wouldn't say it was his fault.

He did go walkabout for the first though, from CB to RW following the forward leaving a huge gap for Sidwell to run into.

  5. He apparently tried to head a long ball down for a midfield rather than just clearing his lines?

He did but was 35 yards out and Carrick had Sidwell 5 yards behind him when he made the header. Problem is Carrick waited for the ball and Sidwell wanted it more.

If you were being pickey you could say yes he should have just head it clear but Carrick should have got his body in the way and won a free kick, and then De Gea should have pushed the shot anywhere else but in the air in the middle of the goal for Bent to simply head in.

Vidic' s form is pretty poor because of the state of uniteds defence. They have gone from rock solid when Ferdinand and vidic were there to being a shambles.,
Still think vidic is a good player but it's those around him making him look bad. Can't fault him for second goal really but the first one ,there was a hole in their defence you could have driven several buses through.
Leave holes like that against us and SAS will have a field day.

Fergie must be turning in his....well he must be pretty pissed.......off!

Further evidence how important a midfield is to the defence, as well as the attack.

For the first time in a while, I'm actually looking forward to going to OT. Think we can really spank them.

  12. Not sure about that but it should be a very open game. Both teams have a quality attacking trio and not much of a defence. Will Moyes ruin it by defending?

We've been attack minded in pretty much every game this season, so I don't see us playing defensive. It's not like we have a defence we can rely on at the moment, so would be a daft move to try and do that.

Don't think the game will matter too much for us, as we're out of striking distance now, but would be nice to give Spurs an assist in there quest for top 4

Coutinho is more creative than Oscar Brazil could do with him in the squad.

he high tailed it out of chelsea... left a CL club in for trophies albeit a bench slot for a club with no chance of even europe next year.. what does that tell you.

    konchesky in the making?

Mata left to get in the spain squad.. he should have thought for about a second and a half and he'd realise sitting on the bench in brazil aint going to win you as much glory as taking the club medals coming then moving to atletico next summer.

what a career mistake eh? <laugh>

The problem with Ozil for me is Arsenal overpaid for him by about £22mil and he will never live up to the price tag, same with Mata, neither are worth anywhere near the money that was paid for them.

  19. All triggered by a stupid amount paid for Gareth Bale too <doh>

    I dunno.

    cavani 55mil

its just the going rate. I don't think there's anything to say but that a 50 mil player is the heart of your team. what does he have to do? deliver titles?

If arsenal's main man cost 42 and effectively so did utds it doesn't means they will either deliver trophies. They just need to be the main men. the rest is down to the whole package.
