    Shocker.

It will be interesting to get some first-hand accounts from members who were there today.

Sounded as if we started well enough but sank into despond, and as usual this season, when we go behind there is no plan B, and no way to break the opposition down, I'll wait for those who went to post but in it's own way, that is worse tan a 3-0 thrashing at home against Wigan.

    That was disgraceful.

Outfought and Out thought for most of the match by the winless bottom placed side.

It is quite obvious now that League One clubs have rumbled us - stop / foul Holmes and Charlton's team splutters to a halt like an old banger. Bauer and Pearce apart, everyone in our side was poor today. Fosu has lost the plot, and Magennis and Kashi look absolutely knackered. Robinson had no options on the bench, with Dodoo again looking very poor.

Lacking skill is one thing, but our players lost far too many of their personal battles across the pitch. And Ben Amos is such an uninspiring keeper, slipping and spilling shots now added to his weakness on crosses.

We have a paper thin squad and a One Trick Pony of a manager. The team and Robinson got dog's abuse from our fans when they left the pitch at full time, and rightly so.

Three seasons of mediocrity is nailed on to see a 4th.

Just sell the club you c*nts.

I see from the match report that Ricky Holmes picked up his fifth yellow card (on the manager's orders?) for dissent after 90 minutes.

He will now presumably miss the match against Bury at the Valley next Saturday.
Better that he is suspended for that one than Walsall away, or one of the more difficult games to come after that.

I can't add that much more to Royston's post. Except to say that we have been found out. Stop us playing out from the back, stop Holmes and there you have it. No plan b, nobody coming off the bench that is capable of changing it. How many chances do you need to score a goal? Pathetic no show. The End.

A game between 2 poor sides. We had a bright little flurry at the start of the second half, but once they scored we quickly ran out of ideas and were reduced to hitting hopeful high lobs into the box, which didn't trouble their defenders. The ease with which The Pikeys repelled us bodes very badly for the rest of the season.

I would also add DeSilva to the list of players excluded from abuse, for a loan player he gave far more than a lot of the full time boys

The Elf's view of yesterdays 'performance'.

Not a bad atmosphere tbf until the pikey's scored. Then I heard someone fart, it came from behind the goal.

The Welshman is now on the attack criticising yesterday's performance.

We will be world beaters if we win the next game<doh>

A good performance yesterday, only on bottles before the game so halving my intake then went on the pints afterwards. Feeling okay this morning, one of the few times I'm sober at an away game and we produce a s*** performance.

I was led to believe we were playing like world beaters this season, I don't understand!

We have been found out. In a nutshell - stop Holmes. What makes you puke is that this was all so predictable - Robinson's options yesterday were 34 year old Jacko, 3 raw kids, ...and Dodoo.

Last season we were very, very (over) reliant on two players - Holmes & Magennis.

Holmes is about to serve his first suspension.

Last season we over played Holmes and Magennis, they picked up injuries and faded.

You don't have to be Mystic Meg to predict what happens next.

Luckily we have a CEO and manager who have "learned from their mistakes" <whistle>

What was interesting in his comments after the game yesterday was that Gobinson said “You know it’s going to be difficult when you’ve got young players coming off the bench but it’s the way we’ve gone,”.... what he means is .... "but it's the way the Owner has decided to go, he does like to save a penny here and there"

One thing we have learned how
Robinson also said "...but it is what it is..." which strongly suggests to me that it is not the way he wanted it.

It is becoming clear that he should have walked away. But a clean CV presumably means more to him than his principles.
When a manager loses his job because the team plays poorly he can always explain that away to a new employer.
If a manager gets a reputation as a trouble-maker who won't toe the line, he makes it harder for himself to get another decent job.
