You will never regret getting a dog and you'll wonder why you ever lived without one. You will need somebody to look after it for away games
I’ll be knocking the away games on the Head by then. Not fair to leave them at home all day at the moment whilst out at work.
Both very intelligent breeds, which don't require an inordinate amount of exercise. I've had 2 dogs, both proper mongrels, not any of this cockapoo rubbish.
I’m going for a bulldog & a boxer. @Beware of the Virus is buying a parrot when he is fired from the charity shop. He’s already had a cock or two ....sorry....cockatoo
I find playing the guitar therapeutic, particularly the music of Turlough Carolan. I was lucky in that I was given a ukulele as a boy, which drove me to buy a guitar with the money I saved from paper rounds and caddying. As the wonderful Chet Atkins said, if you are very lucky someone will put a guitar in your hand when you are young.
Bulldogs are a fine breed but Crufts has a lot to answer for. They have breathing problems a a result of being overbred as showdogs. Same with pugs.
I find walking and swimming work for me. Get out into the British Countryside and lap up nature. I agree with All Hell, a dog is a great antidote to depression.
I need to move to the country. Little detached house so ive not got to listen to the neighbours. I say the country but about a 20 minute walk from a liitle high street. F@ck the driving and public transport, how people travel up and down on the train for work i aint got a clue. Id last less than a month on the train before the wife would get a phone call saying id been knicked and banned from southeastern. My be me age and im a moany git but i find myself getting angrier and angrier.
Agree 100% about the commuting, especially the tube. I used to drive every day from Charlton to Wembley (and back again) for work, but that was many years ago - long before the congestion charge. Even bus lanes were a novelty back then and the journey could usually be done in about 60 minutes (morning) and 90 on a good day (evening). I used to enjoy listening to Radio 4 in the car on my way home. This was before the days of 5Live and Talksport. Eventually I had no choice but to move closer to work or find another job, so I moved to West London. Every now and then I have to use the tube on a working day, maybe once every couple of months, when visiting a site. I have no idea at all how people can tolerate taking that journey twice a day every day without their heads exploding with frustration. And that's on the Central Line, which I'm told is one of the better ones. It's a miracle people don't go crazy in far greater numbers than they actually do.
