Dear Mr. Geraghty, I'd like to express my gratitude to you for the decision five years ago not to sell the KC Stadium and Walton Street fairground to the Allams. How wise you were.
Adding...........five years on the stadium is looking a bit tacky and needs a coat of paint, West Park is exactly the same minus the aviaries. Walton Street has more pot holes then it ever did, and you will be pleased to know the gypo's horses are still enjoying the free grazing and it is obvious not one job has been created in one the most deprived postcodes in Britain, (according to a Government report) therefore the building of the 'super stadium' in this deprived area has not had the knock-on effect of kick starting the local economy as was first thought. Do keep up the good work and I hope your pension is secure.

Geraghty and the council wanted the stadium and Walton Street grounds to still belong to the city of Hull. That's a perfectly proper position to take.
Its an intransigent position without any development plan. The council should aspire to what Manchester city council have achieved with the Etihad/sport city development and reset their Geraghty benchmark higher than Hull Fair week.
If his gracious had of offered a 200 year lease on it , it still would have done.....and we might have seen some development.

Does it really? I criticised capitalism and a lot of posters criticised me, including OLM. There's no left-wing bias on this forum by the moderators.
How is a post pointing out someone claiming their dad was paying supertax as a miner was bollocks political?
