Give the lad a bit of slack, he has done remarkably well so far, well ahead of what I was expecting. He is far removed from the headless chicken you are implying, outstanding playing for England and scoring regularly, you don't do this unless you have the mettle. As with all strikers a goal will settle him down, and its great to have Dunc, Ethan, George and Denver on the mend, all will add energy and more important, quality, to the squad.

Hope so, but Duncan scored 3 in 50 before he got injured and struggled in Scotland , too many people have mis-placed faith, we need a striker who scores now not next season in League 1. It's imperative we go up this year, we ned another striker who scores.

Faith is blind, it's what fans invest in their teams. So long as they play for the badge I'll give them the time they need.

Pretty sure our MP is Labour's Phil Wilson but the village itself is too far right for even the Tories. And posh? Chilton? My house cost a pittance[emoji23]

Not slating him, just not over rating him, 3 goals in 50 appearances, says it all.

Bit off topic but I just signed M’Vila on Fifa and he’s still got Sunderland top on in his press shot and now I’m crying.

He wasn’t good enough for us man. Moyesey said so. There were better options available for lower price...

I'm puzzled at the constant references to Watmore as a Striker.

This was mentioned when he first came to us from none-league, but as he worked his way through our Academy system he mostly played wide.
Then of course there is the rather telling statistic that shows he rarely scores.

But defenders must hate him for his pace and direct style. He causes panic and this creates chances for those around him.
Add to this his recent injuries and we have even less right to expect goals from him at present.

    Give him time.
If he fully recovers he will be a handful, certainly at this level and Ch/Shp level.
    And he will score goals.
I don't expect him to be the twenty goal a season striker we would like but he will come up with more than his fair share.

It's not his recent injuries he's suffering from.
    It's unrealistic expectations from Fans.
