Many a true word is spoken in jest, Oz! I think Kane is safe from Mad Dog's clutches for a few seasons, yet. I have no doubts, though, that if Kane keeps living up to his "the new Shearer" tag, you boys will eventually come sniffing. Agreed - looks too much like a Torres-2-step to me; spending the equivalent of 4 top drawer players so that you can put all your eggs in one basket is bad business. I would question his motivation, as someone has mentioned Messi has won all the top honours, plus the fact he would kicked all over the park - £200m worth on the treatment table........no thanks.
Agree with this, playing certain teams he'd get kicked all over the pitch. and including wages over a 5 year deal, it's likely to be 275m worth on the treatment table.
