Chelsea and City are not as strong financially as we are now FFP has come in. The only club in England that has a big enough revenue to afford Messi is Man Utd, no others come close. You will see over the next few years in the transfer market just how much stronger financially we are than them
All that does is tell us you'd struggle and fail to pay his wages as he would probably want half as much more than Minge head 300k let alone Sick Note and D-Minus. You'd have to double your attendance or pay twice as much for tickets for a 27 year old whose skills are diminishing.
Unlike your cockamamy owners I think you'll find if Roman wanted him (which Im sure he doesn't) he would have him FFP or not laddie
Sure, if he wanted him and Chelsea wanted to drop out of europe and Messi was ok with that...... Maybe thats how Arsenal get the champions league spot they crave. Chelsea forfeit it.
Do people still rate your poor excuse for a keeper? Hasnt looked very good truth be told. He might make our deaf team <?>
Its quite funny that despite FFP already having a large impact on City ( remember this was an opening punishment that will get worse if City dont play ball ) people still think City and Chelsea are still able to spend billions. Chelsea are a sell to buy club now. Like championship and league one clubs. No sales = no new players.
Chelsea where clever before FFP came in as they had all these expensive players out on loan, the likes of Lukaku and Courtois for example. But all that has done is bought them abit of time, before FFP really starts to affect them. The sale of 50 million Luiz was a great piece of business that has kept them in a strong financial position aswell for now
FFP will be, and already is, a total failure. The clowns at EUFA and FIFA will learn eventually that you cannot legislate to make people equal. Watch this space, the "big" teams will get bigger, and the "little" teams will remain just that. FFP will make not a jot of difference .
I note that Fabregas is "doing a Modric" and ramping up the campaign to make Messi a Chelsea player. He's bloody good at it, too! He denied having any influence over the player, whilst taking the opportunity to stress that he'd love to play along side him, again. Superb work from the Spanish magician!
He's no David Nixon though Hiag even the mercurial Spaniard knows that outcome would not be viable in reality as Messi would want wages of twice the deficit of the USA.
True, Oz. Part of me wants it to be true, though. I'd love to see Messi in the Prem, even if that would mean gifting Chelsea the title every year for the next three or four seasons.
