Its the bloody Mail man. Don't bother getting your hopes up he is going. He'll likely wait until after Spurs regardless but I imagine he will be fair to us and do it quickly. Either that or Charnley and Ashley will find a way to force him out in a month or so. Really though I can't see one the PL's top managers committing absolute career hari kari. He is 56. As a manager he is potentially in his golden years having amassed huge experience. He will not be short of offers once the merry go round begins.

If I was Everton I'd jump at the chance. To be honest if I was Sunderland I'd sack Allardyce immediately after the final game and get him in.

Tbf Craig Hope was one of the first if not the first to break the story on us being interested in Rafa. He's certainly more credible than a lot of others.

I think he'll stay, he loves places where he can have an emotional connection with fans and he must be able to see that here already. Getting his name sang for 90 minutes every game must be far nicer than booed like he was at Madrid. Whether being liked is enough to stay is another question though. He'll want the keys to the kingdom and we have to hope we give it to him.

I would instinctively say he's not going to stay and manage us in the Championship. But.... if he's not going to Everton and he definitely wants to live in England I don't see what other options he has. Swansea? WBA? I don't think so. Man Utd could come up but I would expect Mourinho to get that gig. He could quit and wait for something else I suppose. Maybe the Arsenal fans will get their way and see off Arsene?

I really want him to stay. Pedigree wise we have never had a manager win or achieve what he has. My head tells me he will go but me heart tells me he will stay! Sad huh?!?

If he stays it will definatley be due to lack of options elsewhere! They will string it out and he will say "I wanted to stay for the fans" but ultimately, there is nothing better available. Every single club has a manager they want to keep hold of or is newly appointed

    Bournemouth - Howe
    Chelsea - Conte
    Man C - Pep
Man U - Gaal or Mourinho
    Lpool - Klopp
    Spurs - Potch
    Southampton - Koeman
    West Ham - Bilic
Arsenal - Wenger - A lot of fans want him out, but I doubt benitez will be high on the list of replacements, wrongly so in my opinion, i just dont think its a great fit.
    Palace - SUPER Alan Pardew

The list goes on! Perhaps another worry is the spanish national job, he can do that and live in England for the majority of the year, however on the terms he left madrid im not sure he will be that high up on the list, plus Barca and athletico fans wont see it as a great appointment!

We are at a time in football where there will be very little managerial movement when compared to yesteryears. Personally I dont care if he ends up staying because nothing better comes along!

If we are relegated tonight I think we will have his decision fairly quickly after Saturday's games if it goes down to the wire he may want to take his time to consider options. Am I right in thinking if we do beat the 10,000-1 odds and stay up the clause in the contract is void?

Not sure about that. Think he might have had it added just in case a better offer came along this summer regardless of what division we are in.

Don't know why but I'm personally convinced he will stay but I don't know why he would to be honest unless the reports are right and he pretty much runs everything from top to bottom to do with the club.

Surely the end of season review will be Ashley, Carr and Charnley all sitting down together and realizing they are completely out of their depth and don't actually have a clue how to run the club and agree to ALL take a back seat and let someone who has been involved in the game make the tough decisions.

That's what it SHOULD be. We all know that what should happen and what does happen are usually two different things though :(

For anyone who think Swansea could be another destination of his, Guidolin has just agreed a two year extension:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36262303

Don't think he can go to Man U or Everton due to the Liverpool connection, other clubs at the top all seem to have managers sorted/happy with. Maybe a job in Europe but can't see him going back to Spain any time soon maybe Italy but I doubt it.

Like everyone's saying we really need to give him food for thought on Saturday regardless of the result and league we will be playing in by the end.
