I wouldn't want to stop eating meat but wouldn't want to kill the animal. Makes me a hypocrite right enough but there we go.

I don't think I'd have a problem killing an animal for food, in fact I don't think I'd have a problem killing a dumb animal just for sport.

Dammit. I thought you might be Peter Ackroyd. That was one of his books was it not? I read that, and "Hawksmoor". Pretty good as I recall.

Never have, grew up a veggie from birth.

My parents always said they wouldn't mind if I ate meat, one of my little brothers did for a bit, I just don't want to, it's ****ing rank. The thought of eating something that had a brain/blood/etc makes me sick. The meat industry is ****ed too, am very happy I have nothing to do with it.

Also, bacon smells ****ing rank, I have no idea how you ****s eat it all the time.

I imagine the greasiness of meat would be rank for someone who hasn't ate it in a while. I had my first chippy for about 5 years a few months back, my mouth felt like a toilet afterwards with grease stuck to gums - no idea how I used to manage to eat that ****e weekly.

I don't eat that much veg, mostly salads.

I'm lucky that I don't care about food really, I see it as fuel rather than something to get excited about.

How people can eat stuff with blood oozing out of it baffles me...

Yeah, I rarely eat chippies and when I do, it's at home where I pat it with kitchen roll ...

I dont eat "meat" from chippies - ****in rank (hamburger/king ribs) ... like a deep fried sponge!

I try to only eat meat from the butcher or a farmers market ... when they know where it came from.

If I was veggie, it be veggie stir frys/curries etc ... salads are ncie but it needs chicken!

Dunno, was brought up eating meat and my folks took me to nice restraunst when younger - ate steaks like me Dad ... the bloodier the better - adds to the taste.

Would you eat a bit of chicken if someone held a gun to the head of 2 other chickens and said they were going to kill those 2 chickens unless you ate the first one?

    Nope.

Animals die, I know that, everyone dies at some point. Me not eating them isn't saving chickens' lives, it's probably depriving chicken of life, but at least I know I'm not contributing to it.

Also, chickens are ****ty animals, **** em <ok>

You'd still be fat - almost all the middle class people I met in India were pudgy, eating their veggie curries. I'd be about 6 stone if it wasn't for booze and meat.
