    Musty!
Im not sure why you have used the Warner incident as an example. Warner was fined 5,750 dollars for breaching Australias cricket code of conduct. His crime was using abusive language not racist.

I think you'll also find that Mr Warner was find by his own authority, Cricket Australia and not a criminal i.e. court, charge. A bit like bringing the game into disrepute.

I am a bit confused over the 'racism' language issue. If I were to call a member of the 'travelling community' a *yp* I could charged with racism. However I think that the persons who are being refered to as *yp*s on this board are not members of that community how is this 'racism'? Some were quick to point out that there are more itinerents (their word, not mine)in Cardiff then in their home city so why the 'racist' tag?
Time for some posters to grow / wise up methinks

Blue, there has been a successful prosecution for using the racist term. That aside, it's about time people shown some respect for other and cut out childish insults, this applies across the board not just with the Swans although a select few prefer to engage in a childish and immature fashion.

Taff could not agree more about the petty name calling and insults, its getting more like the general chat boards every day. Every thread seems to turn into the same subject. Easy to see why some are leaving the forum. Good natured banter is one thing but its starting to get repetitive recently.
Oh and btw is calling someone Taff racist? If so apologies in advance.

Its a shame theres no ignore ore remove button. That way if a poster goes 'off topic' BOOM and the post is gone. Oh best not have that as there would be cries of censorship.

I suspect any court would take one look at this forum and throw any such undertaking out on its ear.
Should I presume the person taking any such action has themselves not uttered a bad word, a derogatory remark?
Sounds a bit Merchant of Venice to me.
Of course, once in court all details will be known, now that would be interesting.

Can I just say, that it's a snide remark if you want to take it that way, or it's banter if you want to take it that way! sometimes it's in the eye of the beholder. It's pretty normal in football forums to have a little dig, even when praising your rivals.

Blue, amazingly Taff is a racist term but it's about context, having been called Taff since around 1980 I am quite happy with the handle.
SBFF, agreed, petty name calling is one thing but when direct insults are made it is tedious. I have responded in kind to the likes of NJ, Libetarain and other Swans when they sling insults, it's not helpful and I now try to be a bit more civil when responding. Now that I do that I am now a "stealth wum," you couldn't make it up!

    lol

this is the first I have heard about this 'action'; however hypothetically, to answer the OP, if such a case was brought I recon it would be curtains.

Same here, definitely a forces thing. Not sure that my outlaws even know my real name! When I joined up, we had a lad from Belfast called Taff because he didn't want to be called Paddy!

The Forces have never been known for its originality when it comes down to nicknames.

Exile, yeah I guess it just makes it easier. My brother in law was in the Welsh regiment and he was know as Evans 1234 because or the amount of guys named Evans.
Also know a guy called Chalky but he was as white as me, it was because his name was White. Had a coloured fella who was also called Chalky but he asked we stop it once it became associated with racism and we had no problem with it.

I worked with 5 guys called Steve. One with surname of Hawkins didnt want to be called Jim (Moby Dick reference) so he got called Eric! Only one of the Steves was called Steve all the rest were called by their nicknames.

We did call a guy "morph" but not after the playdoh charachter, he was called morph, shortened from Morphine because he was a slow reacting dope.
