What? Really? Goodness, he was in his prime and while he was with us he stayed there! Now if you think he was past his prime in the 90 World Cup, I'd agree.
Also incredibly catchy. I catch (pardon the pun) myself singing... "Fraser Forster, big man what's he got?! Huge hands like a frying pan... big man!"
Funnily enough, good keepers are often lucky keepers too. When you analyse it though it isn't really luck. Good planning and organisation has helped to make what good fortune there is out there on the pitch go the keeper's way.
You could be right...may look disorganised, but may be down to training and a plan. At least, I hope so A few more clean sheets and we'll know. Must stop expecting perfection...there are randoms in football.
Surprise surprise, I agree with Dell Boy. When he was at Forest he had an air of invincibility about him that he never quite matched with us. Of course, that may say more about the relative strengths of the two defences than his goalkeeping!
Very good point. Whenever I used to watch Saints play well I found I was very analytical about it. I always found areas where they could have done even better. Sometimes I should just sit back and enjoy it. With loads of repeats and whole match downloads I'm teaching myself to do so. I tend to watch a game two or three times, if possible, so these days I try to watch a match first purely for the enjoyment value. Subsequent times I'll get into the analysis of it. With Saints playing very well at the moment [and they really are, it's not luck], even that is an enjoyment.
