Evening fellas Allow me to clear up a few things regarding Dempsey. The poster who stated that Dempsey is not a striker is bang on the money. He plays on the wing for us and is always cutting in field, which explains why all of his goals against Newcastle were central. Zamora is our lone striker, and against Newcastle we reverted to a 4-4-2, with Johnson playing up top with him, not Dempsey. For a player who has Premier League experience, is a current international, in the prime of his career at 28 and has 18 months left on his contract, I wouldn't expect Fayed to be receiving bids of less than £10 million to be honest. I don't mean to shoot down dreams of signing him but he has stated that IF he were to leave it would be to a club playing Champions League football, which is something at least for the meantime Sunderland couldn't offer him.
