Will Barnsley Ever Win the World Cup?

  1. No you delusional idiot - have you lost complete control of your senses?

  2. No - the town can't support a footballing super-power at international level as well as club level.

  3. Maybe one day with a following wind and many prayers to Barnslicus-the-Creator.

  4. Yes - it's not a possibility, it's an inevitability.

  5. Yes -all hail Barnsley - winners of 2018 Qatari World Cup.

OK, so it would take a lot of solidarity amongst the Barnsley masses to gain independence from the UK, get official recognition as a state by the UN and then enter and win the World Cup but, will they ever do it?

    Great poll Matt!

I bet Barnsley would play with more passion than our current England set up!

Apart from getting the next World Cup wrong!!!

England might have a better chance if they gave themselves a 4 year headstart. ;)

As long as Barnsley don't start firing rockets into neighboring Huddersfield like whats going on in the middle East right now.

It's a little known fact that Barnsley won the first ever World Cup in 1920, shortly after the First World War a competition was held on likely moor bar tat between German prisioners of war, French deserters and Brazil and Barnsley. Brazil beat the Germans 7-1 and the French ran away leaving Barnsley Brazil final, which Barnsley won on after it was a draw after extra time, a pie eating competition was held at the rusty twat pub to see who would win. Not a lot of people know this
