Could Ba Return?...

You couldn't blame Demba leaving earlier this year. He was top scorer in a team playing ****, clueless manager and given the chance of European Champs football it really was a no brainer. Always gave of his best and it wasn't his fault the idiots at St.James Park put a stupid clause in hid contract. ( It also looks like another stupid
clause has been put in Tiote's contract which sees us lose out big time )
I'd have him back but we'd need to use our forwards properly this time and not play Cisse as a winger.

Where have you heard about this tiote clause??? And what is it???

When I was younger my ol' man said to me to never go back. I have used this philosophy through out my life from call girls to jobs.
We should not be even considering it. He was fairly selfish the month or so before he left and we had the issue of Cisse/Ba right wing/left wing/centre - unless we are going to play a 4-4-2 (or HBA in the hole).

Someone mentioned that it wasn't Ba's fault we have "stupid" people inserting that clause but it was Ba who asked for it and wouldn't sign without it!!

We are signing players to fit around Cabaye but we should also consider players for playing around Cisse, a player we already have and probably on less wages!

I'd be surprised if they let him go. I'd be even more surprised to see him take a step back in his career. Throw in wages, fees, then it seems an impossibility. Be great if it could but just the usual rumour mill you get before the transfer action kicks off.

Don't think I'd want him back because:
A) he won't ever play left wing again in his career
B) that means CISSE on the left, or worse, them pairing up in a 442 again
C) never want that awkward feeling again of seeing ba look pissed whenever CISSE scored.

If we sign a better striker than Ba then Id be very surprised and for that reason Id have him back.

I wondered how the season would have gone had Ba not left in January. Losing and not replacing him obviously affected the team and I feel that if we'd kept Ba and also with the January buys, it would have been a decent season. May have even beaten Benfica if we'd had that quality on the pitch in the second leg.

Hmm. Difficulty is we'd still have had Pardew...

To be fair, if HBA had got his shot on target in the 88th minute we would have beaten Benfica. And that is a game in which Pardew's tactics were spot on.

He was very very good in Europe last year. Similar to the league the year before. He struggled to juggle both which could be either an indication of him having much to learn, or an indication of his lack of support staff and playing squad. Or a mixture of all three.
