An exciting finish - I think Holland have had 147 shots, hit the woodwork twice and had the ball roll up a defender and onto the bar - yet Costa Rica nearly sneaked it. Come on Rica!
Gutted with that. In a game played in the right spirit Tim Krul comes on and behaves like a horrible bas*ard - and makes the winning save. Can't complain overall though, Holland deserved the win. Well done to Costa Rica for a marvellous campaign Brazil v Germany Argentina v Holland
Can't believe the pundits thought that Krul walking up and trying to intimidate the penalty takers was "brilliant". It's completely against the spiit of the game imo and shows just how far this sport has fallen. Do anything to get the win because it's all "brilliant".
The ref had a good game overall, but he should have told Krul to stay on his line. Unfortunately Holland showed their win at all costs attitude - it wasn't pretty. I used to be a great admirer of Holland, especially in the 70's and 80's - but that was a lowpoint for them.
