I'm surprised liverpool didn't finish first what with wasting £20mill on henderson. As well as some other pointless signings.

I think that Spurs have not spent a lot in the last 2 transfer windows but you have to consider their investments before that and the wages they are paying to get a true reflection on the value of each Premier league point.

The table also didn't consider the transfer balance so doesn't count teams recouping money spent.

Still interesting though.

Yes a good point.Although Liverpool have spent they pulled off the stitch up of the century on Chelsea with Torres.

How did they work this out?
Is it based upon the cost of each side's first XI?

excellent and look what we have for our money Pilks, Bennett Howson and Bennett R all youngsters for the future!

Mr Lambert and Mr McNally take a bow<magic>

QPR have shown how not to do it and will go bust, biggest joke is Liverpool and Chelsea loades of money = probably getting beaten by Norwich in thier first year back lol!<party>

Newcastle 10th for pounds per points this year and spend more per a point that Aston Villa. Find it hard to believe. Would have said Swansea and Norwich would be 20th and 19th.
