BREAKING: Michael Adebolajo given a whole-life jail term for the murder of soldier Lee Rigby.

His accomplice, Michael Adebowale, has received a minimum of 45 years imprisonment for his part in the killing.

Glad that we resisted a move to remove the whole life tariff. Not all murders are the same....some are horrendous and some are likely to be repeated if you release the killer(s). A murder committed by 2 people who are not sorry and who do not recognise that they have done anything wrong falls into the latter category. Norway have painted themselves into a corner with their human rights laws...they may have to release Breivik...how can that ever be right. His recent moaning about the conditions that he is kept in demonstrates that he is a sociopath unable to recognise other people's right to life.

I don't think we're being imaginative enough with our sentencing.

So you consider yourself a pretty fine Islamist militant? Off to Syria with you, then. Go help out your buddies.

Or send them to a non muslim prison.

Exactly. There's no point having extremely serious offenders eligible for parole if the public will never accept them back into society and it saves a lot of time and money by them not being allowed to be reviewed for eligibility to be released.

Charlotte Church who had £25 million in 2003 has said she has spent most of it. That is ridiculous and shameful. I'm not a person who begrudges other people riches as it has nothing to do with me, but I despise wastrels.

EU are thinking about taking us to court over it tho.

Someone's been Redditing.

If I ever finally get around to travelling across the US like I've been planning to do for so long now, I'm stopping off in Illinois just for that. The route I had previously planned went nowhere near Illinois, so I'm going to have to change a lot, but it'll be worth it.

Can't wait until GOT, the stuff that happened in the books was great.
