Chicken Karai, with Green Cardamon Pilau Rice. I can't do Naan bread. Wish I could. Need a Tandoor to do those properly. Shop bought Naan bread is like Stuart Pearce.
This an extract from Wikipedia about our Chairman's previous career in Banking, before he took over Saints for Markus... "Cortese was educated in Switzerland and England in business communication and finance.[2] He was involved for ten years in sports business practice as head of the sports and entertainment desk at various Swiss banks, providing global services to sports and entertainment professionals.[2] His most recent position was as an executive at Banque Heritage in Geneva where he managed the finances of billionaires. He had previously run the sports business desk for Credit Suisse.[3]" If you want to read more and its pretty interesting, follow this link..and enjoy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicola_Cortese
Cracking read that. Actually needs a little updating too. Just reminded me why I think the bloke is the best thing to step through the door that we could have wished for.
Look the guy is doing a good job he played hardball with Arsenal over Oxo and now other clubs are doing the same to us with prospective signings . Football is a tough game at boardroom level and he is a tough guy and im glad he is looking after his and our interests
This man is the best thing that has happened to Saints for a long, long time. We fans will never know the reasons why certain players do not arrive as,in the main, there is confidentially between clubs. Neil Warnock has never been able to keep his big gob shut & has a reputation in the game for being a windbag. There are undoubtedly good reasons why Gorks did not join us - could be anything from wage demands to moving house - we simply do not know. Keep trusting Cortese - and by the way he recruited the best manager we have had since Strachan
Cortese doesn't roll over like others and does what he thinks is best for the club no matter how many people he upsets. I like that
I don't think you get to where Nicola Cortese is without being a very astute and clever business man. I can't help but feel a lot of the flack aimed at him by other clubs chairman such as the Eddie Mitchell (who seems intent to run his club into the ground) and Neil Warnock (an awful outspoken "old school" manager who can't seem to open his mouth without criticising another club) amounts to no more then jealousy and disdain towards a man who will conduct deals his way and will not allow himself nor his club to be taken for a ride. Cortese comes from a different world to quite a lot chairman in the football league and I like the way he does business - our moves are kept hush hush, we've clearly got good contacts in Italy (to bring in Papa and Guly) and he is creating a stable long term vision for the club not like these bomb then bust chairman who seem happy to fork out millions of pounds on average talent and then not have the gamble pay off so they jump ship. Totally agree Olddellboy sentiments too.
QPR wanted to screw us. NC just fought his corner and would only accept what was good for Saints, if Reading do things another way , well thats up to them NC is a safe pair of hands. And another thing Warnock`s always throwing his toys out of the pram when he dont get his own way
