Of course, Pochettino is good for the next couple of months and years. Basically Mauricio, make sure you see all the castles and stately homes you want to fairly quickly. And don't get too comfy.
Pochettino has been promised a 2 and a half year 'project', he also remarked on Ferguson's 25 year project yesterday. I think Nigel completed his project 3 years in advance last May! Perhaps Nigel would still be with us if we were 6 points better off this season, or six points worse off last. Funny old projects
I personally thought it wasn't a great interview. I found it stilted and quite painful. I would so like to love him for what he has done for this club and wants to do moving on, but I find his lack warmth extremely sad. As for MLT he is just acting like an idiot, and those two need to sort it out as its just embarrassing now
I thought it was a good interview and that he puts clubs first. Now all on board and let's get behind him.
I think Cortese is most comfortable in a small group or one on one...he doesn't seem to like large groups and I suspect the idea of a fans forum fills him with dread...hence his small dinner parties with season ticket holders. Just seen a new bit of the interview on Sky...they are adding bits. This was much more informative. He says his decision was based on not one thing but an accuulation of things. Says he is close to the team and he sensed a hunger to progress that wasn't being met and he wants the young players to come through and stay at saints.
I think it is easy to be critical of a written interview especially as there tends to be a cold aspect to it. Listening to someones voice gives a better and truer reflection as indeed does a full video. Sadly if you see several shots of the same interview with other bits and pieces in there for me it taints the whole interview as you wonder what else is missing. Sadly I haven't seen the sky interview to actually come to a conclusion as to any feelings expressed.
That's tough. People are either naturally warm or not. If someone is not warm and tries to portay themselves as such, then it comes across as cheesey. Remember his background, he's an accountant/banker. Now I don't wish to fall out with any financial people, but it is a known fact that the personality trait for people suited to that type of role, are often more introverted. This makes it extremely uncomfortable for these personality types to speak publicly. Now before I got shot for stereo typing, I did use the word "often".
That counts me out then as I am in the bottom 1% but using your criteria the very lovely Mrs Godders is guaranteed a sit right next to Nicola at the next one.
Ahh, will they be stringing this out over the next week...hastily re-editing depending on the Mank U result I wonder?
