He went, learnt and came back. Money is a huge temptation in football and someone who can pass on their own experiences is no bad thing. He’s captained teams at the highest level and is spoken of very highly by a lot of people in the game. I’m willing to forgive him a mistake. I do appreciate however it was a step too far for some.
Yeah it's symptomatic of a much bigger and uglier problem in football and society in general that I'm fed up with so I don't see myself coming back around to him unfortunately. But let's face it. My opinion is entirely unimportant and if the club want to bring him back, they will. And I'll grumble quietly in the corner by myself and that's just fine.
