my wife is getting ratty because I said not going to her dads boxing day! .. it is 1 venue [ house] 5 days and 3 family groups .. should we go there Boxing day he will already have been in a 3 FG Christmas day …. I made my first error Friday no mask in chip shop …. not going to make a second! She is working on /up to 23rd and all residents are now confined to rooms ….from Monday am
Question, has any other country got this new blistering, highly infectious,new fast killer strain of Covid 19, it's speading lile hell in the South East but I haven't heard a single report from any other, apart from the mink in Denmark?
So far I haven't heard any mention of the new strain over here Wiz although we did have an outbreak at a local mink farm which has disappeared off the radar for some reason. Sadly the infection rate rise refuses to go away and currently our B.C. upsurge is from young people working at ski resorts and partying at the same time causing 79 confirmed cases and all those involved were fired. Many churches have also refused to close and have now become a big problem although one in particular has just been handed huge fines but apparently they will continue to break the health regulations which means they will be forced to close down.
Long term care homes, particularly for profit companies, have been the major source of infections and our initial vaccine targets are the front line workers in those areas followed closely by all hospital staff and emergency workers. Despite being 76 I don't see myself getting the shot until late summer.

Won’t be long until Tier 6 when you can’t go outside the door. Tier 8 you can’t look out the window.
It is apparently this strain Denmark, or EXTREMELY CLOSELY LINKED to it? from my post earlier [ 5 days ago? 14th Dec:]…………………………
Because they’ve shut Wales down from 12 tonight for non essential items and travel. All they’ve succeeded in doing is causing mass panic over here.
I’ve seen countless post on Facebook with crowds rushing to shops and retail parks to get the last presents in for Christmas.
My daughter went to MacDonalds in Magor services and drove in the carpark thinking it’s busy, but it was full of people exchanging Christmas presents.
So well done Welsh assembly, if anything this virus has had a field day today.

Throughout my life I have always tried to be attentive, principaled and cautious but due to "certain restraints " not able to mention or expand on one or 2 things!!! but caution is currently ringing alarm bells … not panic yet but on the horizon!
2 views … 1 is offered us Christmas to attempt to alleviate people being idiots [ I mean already have dozens throughout the past 10 months taking liberties or ignoring facts protocols ]!!!
2nd is Armageddon type scenario descending upon us … the original whistle blower who mysteriously "died" warned this was more than just a dangerous virus ….
you have to wonder how china has gotten off so lightly? population of around 1.45bn that's about 25 times more than us and only a "handful / few" cases of it and very low death toll major population is more than 377 PER SQ km

My son is almost better now and will be certified ‘clear’ from tomorrow.
My wife has mild cold symptoms.
I’m worse, but nowhere near as bad as I was last year with Sepsis. I have a chesty cough and feel weak and breathless after any physical activity, but as soon as I sit down I recover again.
Hopefully it’s as bad as it gets. Fingers crossed.
