We are in unprecedented times but I can’t help but feel that the government is trying to beat this virus using a cricket bat.
Lockdowns cost absolutely LOADS of money - not to mention the misery and mental anguish they cause.
Surely the ‘smart’ way to ‘manage’ the virus would have been to spend a few £million on improving testing centre capacity, so that we could keep a record of who had the virus and where they lived, and track the spread. Compulsory weekly testing for everyone with a certificate which you show on the door of a pub, restaurant, bus, train or airline.
No. Not this shower. It’s lockdown - FAR more costly and far LESS effective.
..... but far less planning effort involved I suppose for a lazy, incompetent regime.
