I think if there was one point I would pick up on from the inquiry into covid, that would be that Number 10 is not a suitable location to run a modern day government. Yes it's got historic value, and it's all part of London for the tourists, making for great photos outside, especially for the charities that visit on a daily basis, but it does not make a suitable location in a crisis such as covid, mainly due to insufficient space and the confines a building such as Number 10 has. Maybe it's an easier building to secure for the security services I don't know - I wouldn't want it moved into a building the size of Brussels, but surely there has to be a more suitable size building for the future, even if it does come at a cost.
