There's a new advert on UK TV telling people what to do if cardiac arrest happens. Defibrillators are all over the place on pub walls etc (that may have started before COVID though I can't remember).

I saw a company on TV the other day who I think were selling defibrillators for you to have in your home. So I looked the company up to get a guage of the price, £300 + some sort of subscription fee. I don't know the price of the ones you see in businesses, but I'd imagined them to be a lot more expensive.

Not sure when they started around here but it's just before COVID with lots more appearing since, from memory. Maybe earlier in sports facilities but the public ones are fairly new.

We had it put in our school and had the training in Feb 2018 along with other schools around us. Also around mcr city centre and I say that bcos the trainer spoke about the places they were already put up.

Loads got fitted here about 6/7 years ago.
I think they just get noticed more now because of all the rumours of potential vaccine side effects.

Whereabouts are you Quesa?

Yeh I never realised at the time they'd cause this much controversy. In some crazy reality I thought it was actually a good thing. Who knew eh?

well you guys need em so I’m good with them being around……I’ll probably check your vaccine status if I was to use it on you mind……self harmers can enjoy the vaccines safe and effective whilst I’ll watch go blue

Not far from Hull mate.
I was surprised how easy they were to use tbh. Suppose it’s entirely different doing it for real though.
A young lad died playing rugby a few years ago. It was mentioned that if a defibrillator had been available, it may well have saved him.
Not sure, but it might be mandatory for all sports clubs, gyms etc to have one on site?
