I honestly don't think the majority of people care about their freedoms anymore. Whether it's cashless or whether it is endless homes turning themselves into surveillance systems for ring doorbell, oh along with aiding insurance profits with dashcams. Much like the shops @PINKIE mentioned, barcode shops, where you need a phone to enter. All in the aid of convenience.
I don't think we have a lot of choice other than unplug everything.

how long did they take to apologise for even talking about clubs joining a super league…..fans got off arse joined together and said it ain’t happening……we can do this again on an given subject if we all pulled together instead of dividing ourselves over silly issues and separating ourselves from communities

But we won't, the world is too divided and so are local communities. People are too busy slagging everything off on social media, they don't have the energy to actually do anything about it they'll just post an angry face emoji in support of someone's rant on Twitter instead.

so we can do it over a football game but not over the future freedoms of our children …seems there’s a mass manipulation of mind is going on if you ask me…..Stockholm syndrome

Exactly that, if it spoils our fun we're up in arms and the celebs come out in support there are threats of boycotting etc. If it is something that actually matters though... Please like this post and don't forget to subscribe.

It’s why the news has negative news and very little good news…it sets the perception of mistrust on other humans even thy next door neighbour gets ignored these days

shame on us for allowing this manipulation to divide us init

It's a consumer society. As with most things these days you vote with your wallet.

I don't feel like my freedoms are being curtailed tbh. What I see as our main threat/problem is the degradation and stripping of our services. This has negatively affected our young, our old, and our vulnerable far more. We should be up in arms about that, that's for sure.

all very important yes but no more important than taking off the rope from our children necks……we have gotta give something back to the children and not let them deal with our laziness and ignorance in the future……they deserve no less freedoms than what we had when we came into this world

leave a legacy not a mess

13 years of managed Tory decline of public services. The erosion of state pension/increase in age. The Tory’s / GB news will have you thinking it’s immigrants…
But it’s the Tory’s with out in the open fraud from industries they privatised.

The erosion of state pension/increase in age.

Eh?

The Labour party, under Tony Blair and Gordon Brown, passed the Pensions Act 2007, which raised the state pension ages to 66, 67 and 68. The coalition Government (Tories) brought in further changes under the Pensions Act 2011, which accelerated the equalisation of women’s state pension age and brought forward the increase in men and women’s state pension age to 66 by 2020.

I think I've just generally taken on board people's views on here and accepted that it could have been handled differently, especially with the younger generations.

All sold to the masses under convenience to make your life easier, when in fact the exact opposite is happening, people are giving up their rights and autonomy to be surveilled and monitored by data harvesting bots. As I mentioned, we saw during covid how people's rights and access to certain services were taken away unless they complied, and when you look at places like China where they have introduced a social credit system which rewards 'good' behaviour and punishes 'bad' behaviour, you see how govt can exact more and more control over the population.

I think one of the things we'll see soon are carbon credits. An app where you'll be 'rewarded' for cutting down on your carbon footprint or restricted if you exceed your allowances. Sorry sir but you've bought 2 steaks this week and you've used up your carbon credits, so you're only allowed to buy 30 litres of petrol for the remainder of the week. **** like that. Folk will buy into it initially because they'll be told they are doing the right thing and saving the planet.

The rich will still eat Fois Gras and fly in their private jets though.

You fking knows it……uncle bill gates has already said he pays for his carbon footprint so he’s clear of guilt <laugh>

anyways they all ready got social scoring going on in china where the people are so afraid of their government and secret services that they follow orders however fking draconian the measures may be………but even they rebelled and found they had the power when it came to saying no more fking Covid nonsense

the people got the power not government’s so just say no and it disappears……it really is a game of numbers and we got the numbers

Yup, this simple fact is where our power lies. The establishment know it which is why they pour so much effort into trying to divide the working and middle classes.....

It's the immigrant's fault....that family down the road on benefits have just bought their kid a new iphone you know....all of those striking train drivers/nurses/teachers are selfish ****s who are trying to ruin your life....That family from Lithuania are taking up your GP appts... and on it goes. All designed to divide and distract people from the real culprits who create this turmoil

People need to see this pantomine **** for what it is, but huge efforts go into maintaining it through the news channels, billionaire owned media and their politician puppets who do their paid for lobbied bidding for them.

And next comes the apps. All sold as convenience and safety, but designed to monitor and control your life. Haven't got the QR code to get into the supermarket, sorry you can't buy any food. Haven't got app to monitor your carbon credits, well sorry that's linked to the QR code for the supermarket, so you'll 'need' that again.

And of course if people don't comply, well we can always unleash another pandemic or emergency rule to force people to behave.

But none of this will apply to the wealthy and those in power. We saw how they behaved when they were telling everybody else to 'stay home'

**** em all Aber.

I don't agree that it's to divide the working and middle classes, It's to social clense the working classes out of the system entirely.

Thatcher wanted rid of the working classes after the miners strike, she even took the findings from Hillsborough and remodelled them into changes that SHE wanted to make.

The three things she targeted was football, alcohol, and cigarettes.

Football is already too expensive for many, especially as regular saturday entertainment as it was all those years ago. Cigarettes, well we are already heading towards being a smokeless state, with many laws already introduced to target it. Alcohol, our culture of pubs as it was has virtually been destroyed. The latter two were constantly targeted in the earlier years for higher taxation.

Cashless is the next control, that will be closely followed by monitoring of social media accounts, we will probably end up with something like one account across all platforms - that can already be done, but it will be enforced by law at some point in the future.

The QR codes is quite a concerning one, if the rest I've already mentioned is not concerning enough lol.

Edit: and I said all that without even mentioning survelliance systems, climate credits and ulez zones, we are fooked!
