MIght be the focus by the government AND NHS on what is now a fairly innocuous illness in Covid, and the fact that people with serious, terminal illnesses such as Cancer, MS, ALS etc are being ignored or overlooked.

My 80 year old father in law passed out on Tuesday in the school field while he watched his grand daughter, my daughter, during her Sports Day. He is 80 years old, and has Emphazyma and Diabetes.
He collapsed, lost consciousness for more than a minute and went white as a ****ing sheet.
I rang 999 and they told me it could be as long as 3 hours before they had an ambulance available!!
What kind of bullshit is that? 3 hours?
Turns out his diabetes medication had been prescribed wrong and it had made his blood pressure plummet to dangerous lows, hence why he passed out, but what if he had been having a stroke? 3 hours? ****ing pathetic
That's what happens when you start running down the NHS .
It started over a decade ago .
£600million wasted on management consultancy firms is ****ing scandalous .

If you are not happy with that date mate and believe within good reason you should be seen sooner, politely raise the matter with your doctor or your consultant's secretary, to see if they can bump you.
yeah i may have to as although the problem has eased recently it is still there and the cause needs finding .However i am worried that the answer will be redoing a procedure i had about 7 years ago which was ****ing unpleasant and the twat who did it was a complete **** who clearly took little care when doing it .

Walking home enjoying the sunshine so was wondering what you guys think is causing such a rise......you know I got my suspicion so what is yours

I can't get past the paywall mate but to answer your question.

Over worked and under staffed NHS as is every public service. Compounded by the repercussions of Covid no doubt. But we've not helped by having 12 years of cuts to those services whilst expecting doctors and nurses to meet an ever growing workload. Add to that staff shortages due to skilled workers leaving as a result of all the above + poor pay, **** work life balance coupled with the challenges faced with recruiting from the EU following Brexit bcos of the beaurocratic hurdles and increased costs of doing so.

So what's your take...without the videos pls Aber <whistle>

just hope i get one who knows how to do it without causing large amounts of pain and actual damage unlike some i've had previously .
Yeh i hope you do too mate.

My things not urgent so I can wait a year no worries, I feel for those who have serious or urgent issues or worries and can't get seen or diagnosed for A Year maybe 2 or 3 these days

Its a scandal tbh how we've got to that point is beyond me.

Speaking from personal experience, in a lot of cases ppl won't necessarily know if it's urgent bcos a lot of the delays is down to that initial diagnosis. So if you're waiting for an MRI or a biopsy or any procedure, even the difference between a a couple of weeks and a couple of months makes all the difference in terms of surviving a serious illness. Early enough diagnosis for cancer for example is one of the biggest factors in survival rates.

Yeh I've had a few biopsys for my gut, camera down the gob then start chopping bits out, it's not too bad that tbh sounds worse than it is.

My gagg reflex is on point anyway, the nurses always compliment me on it.

The brain scan or whatever it is I'm Waiting on is just them trying to find out why I'm such cool MF is all.

Labour doesn't exist anymore hence the word new labour.........tory blue or tory red.....what a fking choice for our future lol

I've said to you before I'm keeping an open mind about the effects of the booster. Far too many ppl I know, particularly the elderly, who have had ailments - some life changing, following that, along with comments from medical/health professionals when they've been seen.

I think they'll need a drill to figure that out. You could let me try?

Sorry to hear you're going through that all though. I hope it all goes smoothly for you mate and the quality of life/health you have moving forward.
