I saw this yesterday. Tory ****ers dressed in their golden regalia, literally celebrating the opening of a food bank with all the pomp of ribbon cutting ceremony.

The irony of the fact that their policies and 12 years of austerity have caused the poverty that gave rise to the need for food banks in the first place, completely lost on them

****ing ignorant and shameless ****s.

They get off on being ignorant shameless ****s dude.....seems to pick thy pecker up for some insane reason.....see saff comments for instance

Give them all 30p a day to cook from scratch and that will sort it.

Can someone tell me what you can cook for 30p. Even over here in the US where food is so much cheaper, would be hard to get a nutritious meal for that.

Porridge made with water? Maybe beans and rice if you have a small serving?

Food in the belly, but if you eat that every day you'll get scurvy. <laugh>

Certainly have to be vegetarian at that price. Even a can of tuna costs more than 30p.

You could have boiled egg on toast if you got a chicken that lays and skip the butter

Bill Gates thinks we should be eating insects and lab grown meat......after you bill hey

Lab grown meat is too expensive still. Insects really is a cultural aversion. I don't like the idea either... But I'm all for everyone else eating them. <ok>

Actually cricket flour I could probably do... If I don't actually see any bug parts.

Yeah. Unfortunately, probably costs more than 30p a day to keep the chicken fed unless you have acreage where they can free roam.

Maybe the solution is to give all the poor a couple acres of land. <laugh>. We may need to invade Ireland for lebensraum.

Big mince £5.00
Pasta £0.30
Cans of tomato x 4 = £2.00
Puree 50p
Mushrooms £1.00

Cheese £4.00

If i was on my own I can eat for about 7 days with the above spend

Britain is covering up a lot of the health neglect the government has done for years through charity work and donations......makes you wonder what mess we'd be in if it wasn't for people's empathy and caring nature for others init.

I'd save £4 off that straight away, no cheese. I'd also save another 50p by leaving out the puree as you already have canned tomatoes, so that's a total of £4.50 saved.

£5 for mince, what weight is that, you could buy two packets at 500g a pack cheaper than. You shopping at Waitrose or something bro. <whistle>

But 30p a day, nah the guy is a fooking idiot.
