We already squander £600 million a year on management consultancy that achieves **** all apart from Tory party donnors benefiting

Compared to the guy from our village who was younger, fitter than me and who thought it was all a hoax....still alive. He died from the common cold....covid sorry.

Hadn't even given you a second thought until you raised this thread from the dead, if only the covid dead were so easy to save

Is it back?

thought we done with it

forgot about this thread

I got lots to say, tiz not like me I know .....but just like all the covid cronies in government and the scientific crowd some on here would rather Bury the subject with the piled high pensioners who died without family or hospital care in nursing homes without a whimper of wonderment on how many deaths can be contributed to miss guidance from the WHO and others all funded by crooks with financial motives of course......the equivalent to Spanish flu they told us......everyone will lose a loved one they said.....we need extra hospitals built we didn't have money for before they told us.

All the above was done with a tax free bottle of champagne or a hundred and a good old laugh at the peasants who will stand to attention on command by the freak of Eton mr Boris fking Johnson himself.

Tragic state of your country dude......cheap processed food leading to the expensive health care system payments.........seemingly big pharmaceutical business has got lobbyists working in the right area's of government to fk you in the ****ter big time.......but hey ho its a conspiracy so big pharma says

The cheap unhealthy food certainly doesn't help, but I actually blame health insurance for the insane costs and lack of transparency in costs. You never know what something will cost until you get the bill and there's no way to shop around.

Insurance also causes a massive feedback loop. Insurance companies will only pay their share of costs if a procedure doesn't go a certain % over average price, so doctors raise their prices to the max insurance will pay... Raising the average which allows them to raise their prices again.

Of course this means insurance companies also have to raise their prices to be able to pay out what they pay.

The end result is a large family pays more in insurance than they do for their mortgage... And if you actually need to see a doctor you still have to pay insane amounts despite having insurance.

As mentioned above somewhere... If you need an ambulance, you will end up paying thousands for the ride, and that's after insurance has already cut the bill. Works great for doctors who take home several hundred thousand dollars a year. (All while complaining about how much medical school debt they have to pay and in hospitals the emergency departments always complain about how they have to see poor people who may not pay bills on time).

Insurance is the enemy. Costs too much to go to doctors without insurance but insurance acts as an unchecked inflator of prices and keeps forcing them ever upwards.

Tragic dude......part of the reason us brits cannot allow corporate entity's to take over the system mr bevan put in place ta rape it for profits.

By the way your jail system stinks of money making on the backs of the most vulnerable in society and all.

I'm a bit partial to American folk music of various styles and one woman's song sums up American in a great and honest way....iris dement with the song wasteland of the free

Yeah, you have countries like those in Scandinavia and Netherlands whose penal systems are designed to rehabilitate and have very few repeat offenders... Then you have systems like America where it's just about punishment... Lock 'em up, make a profit from the government, then send them out to reoffend so they can come back and provide you with more revenue. For profit prisons shouldn't exist.
