Australia have had the strictest rules and one of the lowest death rates, it's their country, they can do what they want. I don't see why an exception should be made for entitled sports people.

I didn't, but I was on the same plane of someone who was, and they kicked up ****te, so they get moved from customs and handed over to the police, hence marched off the plane into a cell.

Everybody arriving in Australia at the moment has to be vaccinated and that rule should apply to everybody.
They didn't take away his choice or anybody else's. They have just maintained their own right to have a choice how they govern their own country and borders.
Could have chosen to be vaccinated but was free to choose not to.
Totally agree mate. I'm glad the Aussies have sent him packing. I've no problem if he had a genuine exemption, but doubt anyone believed he specifically did.
Anyway the cricket has started - all the English players were vaccinated.

Best of it is the people making the decision had no idea who he was as the details given are just a number and the outcome is based on the actual proof given
5Live on my way home tonight talking to an Aussie health admin bod.
I remember when I first use to travel to America, you could travel without booking accomodation, but after 9/11 the rules changed, and you had to prove where your first night of stay was going to be, and it had to be in writing, ie booking comfirmation etc. So there are rules for everything, if you don't do as asked, it's nope sorry, not coming in.
