Loads of good reasons and not the ones brain dead right wing morons fall for every time. People have family/links here already. They speak English. Despite the best efforts of our gutter press to convince the serfs otherwise, the UK isn’t some holy grail where you’re rewarded with a five star hotel and unlimited benefits for getting here.

I think it's also worth pointing out that they're not being shipped over here by those evil French folk. France takes 3 to 4 times the number of refugees the UK does. So does Germany. And if you look at it per capita, we're behind the likes of Luxemburg, Austria and Sweden . We're not some victims here.

In fact no European country comes close per capita to countries around the world taking in the most refugees. Places like Turkey, Lebanon, Columbia, Jordan, Uganda ffs, shame us in that regard.

But ya know, we're an island which is our "get out" clause so how dare they.

What i dont get is why here?

Why pass by the whole of europe to get here?

Why have you put deadlier in brackets? There's no indication that it causes more severe illness is there?
