I can remember going to an away game at Shrewsbury when their new gaff was built - at the time there was no away bar (don't know if there is now), you had to walk into town. Well we didn't have a great deal of time, you know what the coaches are fooking like. So I said to my mate we'll go in their bar, anyway the doormen stopped us, because it was pretty obvious we were away supporters. So we came away and I said to my mate, do your jacket up and keep your mouth shut, I timed it until a load of home supporters aimed for the bar door, and quickly tagged in on the group. Problem was when I opened my gob ordering the beer it was pretty obvious I weren't local, but kept our heads down and no one bothered us.
Also did the same at Northampton, they tried to direct us elsewhere, basically I told the stewards to fook off and we walked away and headed straight for the bar on top of the hill, full of home supporters, no problem, got food and beer.
The moral of my story is if it bothers you that much there is always a way in, but crying over it resolves nowt.
One day you’ll maybe understand the principle of scale and that single anecdotes of backwater ****holes doesn’t equate to what’s happening across the entire nation.Yeah that's definitely happening in your world but fact is I've been out a few times lately and the pubs are fking rammed down with me....no masks no vaccine no test.....Cross road to Chinese take away and not allowed in without mask......lol
Get out sometime tobes you never know some fkr might even speak to you......they might even be nice and just politely tell you too fk off

I worked in clubs in Liverpool in the 80’s, you haven’t got a clue about my life.Collecting glasses in the con club doesn't count Willow
Yeah clubs have always refused people for whatever reason they want. I feel for the owners in Scotland though as it puts them at a huge disadvantage to pubs.
Passports ain't happening in England anyway are they?

One of the biggest chains around agrees with me btw, this news is as old as…..today, you absolute **** knuckle.

You've been around long enough Abe and you know damn well how to get in places, if you have to, people have been doing the same old tricks for decades. My point being this isn't new.

Thought you had some class fella.....fking wetherspoons be fkd....do you have anyone who's a decent human being for your moral guide on the evidence you provide.
Tbh being a Cardiff fan I've never had to sneak around......we just take places over
Yup. I saw a similar article today about Wetherspoons and older customers - my reason for staying away was simple, because I chose after the pandemic to give my money to local businesses, such as micropubs - they are reasonably priced and don't charge me a fiver for a pint, and it's not always about being the cheapest (as in Wetherspoons case) that keeps customers. Some pubs I use to frequent I fook off now, either for charging too much or poor customer service. Wetherspoons I had noticed was attracting a younger clientele, and the fookers are too noisy for my head.
Yeah as your Valleys anecdote trumps the reality of Wetherspoons takings and current customer profile obvs.
Yet again you prove that truth and reality is of no interest to your walnut brain.
Funny enough I've been doing the same giving my money to local business and not cheap chains who gave little fk about his staff when civid kicked off

Yeah you mentioned nightclubs and restrictions that don’t exist, yet their takings are still down. You then chose to tell us your local ale house was full so there was no issue with pubs, which I set your straight on. Real ale sales are down across the entire industry btw, not just Spoons, they’re merely an example who spoke about it today.I did say nightclubs in fairness and you just went off on a chicken in a basket pub search to prove my nightclub figures wrong.
Talk about peanut headed ****s.......you walk into it every time you simple twat
You're reminding me of the annoying kids that lurk around Gillingham station on match day, opposite the away pub, giving it a load of gob in their brave little groups. It's so boring and 1970's mate, thought you would have grown up by now.
What taking over pubs because the travelling numbers are so big is so 1970s.......I don't get your logic fella unless your suggesting as per usual something I didn't say again.
Is it a mental illness side effect from vaccines that you guys gotta make **** up for the sake of it

Apart from that time you were chased into the sea by Swansea.
