not fair that a nightclub doorman can stop you from entering a club because of Covid rules.
well that’s something they can do. Covid, drunk, not drunk, decide they don’t want you in. That’s not a freedom people went to war for.
Thing is that makes me laugh with the moaning over nightclub access, is clubs have always had rules and always had door people, who will refuse you access for the wrong type of footwear, wrong type of trousers/jeans, being too drunk , I've even heard of cases of being too old, I'm afraid people don't get a choice on being too old...we should protest.
The man worked as a ****ing nightclub doorman in Hong Kong. He never stopped anyone going in?
It's a private establishment. They can require whatever they want, unless it's discriminatory.

Yeah clubs have always refused people for whatever reason they want. I feel for the owners in Scotland though as it puts them at a huge disadvantage to pubs.

Pubs are also down, as many people still don’t feel safe crammed into those environments and have got used to drinking at home, it is what it is.

Yeah that's definitely happening in your world but fact is I've been out a few times lately and the pubs are fking rammed down with me....no masks no vaccine no test.....Cross road to Chinese take away and not allowed in without mask......lol

I can remember going to an away game at Shrewsbury when their new gaff was built - at the time there was no away bar (don't know if there is now), you had to walk into town. Well we didn't have a great deal of time, you know what the coaches are fooking like. So I said to my mate we'll go in their bar, anyway the doormen stopped us, because it was pretty obvious we were away supporters. So we came away and I said to my mate, do your jacket up and keep your mouth shut, I timed it until a load of home supporters aimed for the bar door, and quickly tagged in on the group. Problem was when I opened my gob ordering the beer it was pretty obvious I weren't local, but kept our heads down and no one bothered us.
Also did the same at Northampton, they tried to direct us elsewhere, basically I told the stewards to fook off and we walked away and headed straight for the bar on top of the hill, full of home supporters, no problem, got food and beer.
The moral of my story is if it bothers you that much there is always a way in, but crying over it resolves nowt.
