It should affect their premiums, much as they do with smokers. https://www.zurich.co.uk/magazine/life-insurance-for-smokers

A mate of mine told me he was stuck in UK as he couldnt get travel insurance to travel to an Amber list country (Indonesia) presimably because government advice was not to travel there. Now we have gone Red so suspect his Indonesian. Wife wont be seeing him anytime soon.

Often life insurance policies become null and void in those situations.

Just about to board a plane back to UK now and going straight into 10day hotel quarantine. Suspect I will have plenty of seats to choose from.

yes but i know of no restrictions inside the UK based on vaccination status and the fact that other sovereign states impose their own rules is up to them not us .

just saying some may consider it a logical extension in times of a pandemic. I think there should be free market choice in the system - if pubs like 'Spoons want to exercise their right to have unvaccinated customers, I'd like to use my choice to go somewhere that doesn't. Same with any venue. Freedom personified.

In summary, and taking an extract from his very own words, 'the bogeyman' got him, because he felt that god had given us the tools to beat this. There are many situations throughout the life of the human race, where beings will accept death as the alternative put in front of them. The problem here not once did he say he thought that might be an outcome for him nor was he knowledging that might be a personal consequence, it was just his distrust of the government and his belief it was a bad case of the flu, that kill old folk every year. The thing with life that he sadly overlooked, is when you are wrong there is no recompense for the loss of your life and the suffering it bestows on your family. I will miss him. <rose>

He stuck by his beliefs and ended up dying by them.

Can't really fault him for that.

Patently wrong re the vaccine of course but what can you do?

FWIW, because a 58 year old bloke has died because he refused the vaccine does not and will not change my own stance that this is unnecessary to pump into (my) children any time soon.

There are still too many unknowns.

He was, in his own words, fat and unhealthy so it's not really the same.

that is different to the Government saying no unvaccinated person can go to any pub which is the equivalent .

Yep, I wouldn't do that. I would hope sponsors and the BBC, for instance, would ensure major events like, for instance, next year's Glastonbury, was fully vaccinated. But if someone wants to put on a festival that doesn't have to be vaxxed, then so be it - let's see what major sponsors and advertisers will back it. Ajnd I will respond accordingly with my purchasing power, just as I've never bought a Dyson for five years. <ok>
