Are we over complicating this need for covid passports...

I don't know about other people, but I have access to my doctor medical records on my phone, I can also access it via the NHS app. Both show that I've had my jab, surely this would be suffice?

same here .

I just checked on how long it would take me to access the bit where it shows your immunisations.

Click NHS App, finger print, view records, continue, immunisations, job done. Less than a minute, probably 30 seconds tops. The page before you click immunisations details your name, date of birth, NHS number and home address.

I've downloaded the NHS app because my doctors surgery asked me to. Won't be downloading any other apps. Which, if I'm understanding the news I heard on the radio today, means I might have attended my last live football match.

I see no reason why they can't do it from the NHS app you've downloaded mate, it seems daft to reinvent the wheel when we are already carrying the confirmation. Although I expect this latest push has got Goves grubby mitts all over this.

I just think it's a bad idea full stop tbh.

I'm actually starting to get a bit worried now, which I wasn't really before, that we may be entering a brave new world where civil liberties we all took for granted are permanently eroded. Alarm bells started ringing for me when MPs voted to extend emergency legislation til September. Why September ffs?

Then seeing the police enter a church to stop a service on Good Friday. I'm not religious, so it's not that, it's just an instinctive feeling; Old Bill can **** right off with that sort of caper.

I agree it is a bad idea. I'm only looking at it from the perspective if we have to mate, which looks highly likely now.

I still can't see providing evidence of vaccination becoming a big thing for domestic reasons. It will cost business too much to limit their custom at a time when they need as much as possible.

Yeah I thought the September thing was a bit far too. Think they know that they won't be able to do another lockdown so are trying to make the most of it.

I hope you're right. Can't see businesses supporting the idea at all. Unless they're coerced.

I think the way they are pushing the idea through will by letting businesses such as night clubs and sports events open earlier, in other words 'events'. They've got them by the balls mate, unless the back benchers revolt and get enough support, to kick this idea out.

I don't think it will be required for pubs and restaurants.

It won’t happen, this is just a cack handed way of trying to convince people to have the vaccine, as until a critical mass is reached there’s no herd immunity.

I get the point, but just how much personal information is on that required screen?

Peeps like Sucky not gonna be pleased if details of his strapadictome are on public display :bandit:
