Really impressed with what my nippers school has put out for home schooling.

Loads of YouTube videos for different subjects and different year groups for every day, must be putting in a hell of a lot of hours in to it.

Just stick Premier League Years on. Ian Marshall belting one in for Oldham with a mullet. Better education than any school could give him.

Same with my daughter’s school. Teachers are the unsung heroes in all of this. Keeping key workers at work, sending work packs home, devising online content, and some of them are having to home school their own kids too.

Some of the teachers at my daughter’s school are even arranging free school meals and healthy food packs to deliver to the most vulnerable families.

ONS stating that 2020 has the largest increase in excess deaths since WW2... currently 91,000 more compared to 2015-2019 ... but just like the normal flu yeh?

Wonder how many are untreated cancer sufferers and suicides?

Probs some data on that somewhere.

Wonder how much higher untreated cancer etc would be though if Coronavirus did topple the NHS

It’s a circular argument, less restrictions equals more COVID cases and more staff absence, more beds taken and even less elective surgery carried out.

Would the £30 that I assume is being paid for each child's food parcel, be better off served in giving it to the parents and letting them do the shop.

This is disgraceful and Rashford is right to speak out... https://news.sky.com/story/i-could-...-criticises-free-school-meals-hamper-12185627

I could not only shop and feed that child for £30 but also a small family, say 1 adult and 2 children if budgeted correctly. So where is this money going?

These hampers should be supplied by non profit organisations, if we can't manage that, then get all these people that are furloghed off to the supermarkets with the parents orders. Ffs this need not be a problem, you just need to take the money away from whatever greedy fooker is being given it.

Jeez you could get food hampers from supermarkets for that value and they would be better plenished that that shhite.

Yup

I get it, nobody likes lockdowns, and they have real consequences.

But it's the lesser of two evils as far as I see it. If you let the virus rip, then even more people die from both Covid and the fact that the NHS is pushed past breaking point.

Yes it would be but then people complain that cash could be spent on booze and ***s.

So you give them vouchers that can’t be spent on booze and ***s but then where’s the opportunity for profit in that?
