Not sure about this; I don’t think that many people disregarded government directions at Christmas. Not many people at all travelled by rail.

Agree.

Isn't it much more (in fact definitely) likely that it was shoppers mobbing out London, Manchester and various shopping area pre Christmas without wearing mask because they assumed they were outside like?

Only takes a straw poll of people we all know that says very few broke the rules for Christmas day etc.

I'm still be genuinely baffled by the idea people were throwing 'parties'.

Who the **** has a Christmas day party?

Sun and Mail readers maybe, who knows. Not something I've encountered, ever.

Get the 13 million most vulnerable jabbed by end of feb.
Going on what we are told, that should cover at least 90% of those who become seriously ill. In theory, deaths should absolutely plummet by April. The weather turning will also help.
I fully expect us to be normalish by late May/June.
Can you post me some of whatever you are smoking cos i could do with it .

i'm not arguing about the figure but as i've said before on a subject like this i think being specific is important .
Just my view and is not meant in any other way .
Khan was saying yesterday that in some boroughs the estimate was now 1 in 20.

Got one done for my job on Tuesday.
Most of us have done it to reassure parents, students and other staff.

It was the quick one so I got the answer in 30 minutes.
The text read... your test for Corona virus was negative. This means it is unlikely you were infected when you took the test.

Not as reassuring as I hoped <laugh>

probably because the lateral flow test , which your test will have been , is reputedly pretty unreliable to say the least ..
